My flights to/from Bangkok from/to Changi: May 10, August 13, September 3, 2005.
Timetable
scheduling/Checking-in/Boarding/Flight punctuality:
Flight punctuality is as punctual as Valuair. Checking-in is smooth, with no hussle. Boarding the jet begins with passengers of the last 30 rows of each flight, regardless of age. I give it a rate of 99.60% dispatch reliability.
Ouflight staff performance:
The pioneer
outflight staff in Changi do not really communicate with Singaporeans. No
available town office unlike Valuair and Tiger Airways. The Call Centre is
located in Malaysia as I can recognise the ringing tone to be unique to
Malaysia. When attending to enquiries, the staff take note of your contact
number and your name even though there is no need to. Seeing face to face at
JetStar Asias airport office is difficult.
Ticketing:
JetStar Asias fares to Hong Kong and Bangkok are very attractive.
Fare schemes:
JetStar Asias fare schemes are simple to understand.
Reception of complaints:
The office staff generally accept complaints from Singaporeans very well and are dedicated.
Fleet reliability:
The aircraft wing does not waver and shake in the air. Flying onboard JetStar Asias Airbus A320 is very safe even when it touches down.
Meals image (freshness, taste,
price):
The meals onboard are the best selling point of JetStar Asia. The chicken meat and fish are delicious and so are the few greenies. The fried rice is tasty. The whole set that costs S$8 is worth it.
Flight crew service:
JetStar Asias pair of air steward and air stewardess is the highlight of any JetStar Asias flight. On my flight, it is the air steward that is doing the PR job very well. He attended to my needs very well. The flight crew are very cheerful, very hospitable and very positive towards their work. They show the brightest side of Singaporean customer service like Valuair.
Inflight service:
JetStar Asias useful inflight products include its inflight magazines, metal lunch box which be used as a cashier box or a stationery container, calculator and disposable mattress.
JetStar
Asia has a fantastic inflight package.
Web-site design:
Feature JetStar Asias Call Centre addresses, please.
Overall Airline rating:
JetStar Asia has the shadows of Tiger Airways and Valuair. It is not like its parent JetStar Airways. Only its inflight service distinguishes its brand.
Travel with JetStar Asia to Hong Kong, Manila and Taipei if you need to travel at a lower budget.
